- chevalieri. Aenictus humeralis var. chevalieri Santschi, 1910g: 754 (m.) SENEGAL.
- Type-material: holotype male.
- [Note: original description implies a single specimen “Muséum de Paris”, but Baroni Urbani, 1977e: 67, cites 1m syntype NHMB.]
- Type-locality: Senegal: Casamance, 1900 (A. Chevalier).
- Type-depository: NHMB (perhaps also MNHN).
- Subspecies of humeralis: Wheeler, W.M. 1922a: 753; Bolton, 1995b: 59.
- Distribution: Senegal.
